I absolutely love coordinating second marriages. The focus really seems to be on Family and Friends and spending time with each other.
My good friend Frankie Hartwell with Hartworks Florals called me to ask if I would help out her good friend Ginger Raaka who was planning a wedding in just 3 short months. Frankie is an amazing florist so that area was covered, but everything else needed my immediate attention.
I loved working with Ginger. She was so excited about getting married at her new home and celebrating with her family and Friends at the Inn on the Island-I Bar located on the Coronado Naval Air Station. This was a new venue for me and I think the final outcome was both beautiful and intimate.
Tina Plumb with Stephina Photography did a wonderful job of capturing the loving emotion of the day.
I love getting to play with personalization, and Ginger was all for it! So I played around with the Drink Station signs to include both Ginger and Chip’s names as well as where the Ceremony was taking place.
Chip did a wonderful job of laying down a beautiful carpet for the aisle, just so Ginger’s shoes and dress wouldn’t get ruined by the grass (Isn’t love Grand!) The kids had a fun time afterward on it too…
They also had a bit of fun at the bar apparently ( good catch Tina)
See what I mean about capturing the emotion
While the ceremony was wrapping up, Tina traveled with the Wedding Party to the reception following the guests. I wish there was a picture to show you of the I Bar before the guests arrived as A Perfect Table did a wonderful job with linens and table arrangeents.
The Dessert Table was a real crowd pleaser from Sweet Cheeks Baking Company
The toast was made by the Best Man, Chip’s son Josh who was also celebrating his birthday that same day!
Thank you to San Diego Events Lighting and Sunset Mobile Music for making the recepion pop and rock!
